I've honestly spent 3+ hours simply editing my site, changing themes/fonts/photos/layouts until I was satisfied, creating this clever avatar (which hardly looks like me) and reading several random articles while establishing this blog. All in the name of... trying to "get out there." The goal of doing all this is definitely professionally-based, but I also know how beneficial it is to have a place in this digital world. In the last 2 weeks I've picked up Twitter again, and will be trying to grow from 9 followers to... a lot more. I'm hoping to get more links to my blog, pinterest, twitter, etc. It's a big "web" of identity out there, and I need to do a better job of creating a fuller profile. Last time I googled my name, not much came up besides my wedding announcement (circa 2010), an article/photo of my citation Wahoo from 2013, and some random connections due to Google+. So! I'm hoping that this blog, website, and other social media will help link with me other media coordinators, techie folks, aspiring writers, and future readers! The big project I'll be posting about this summer in terms of my media center is the GENRE-fy project I just took on. I'm also deep in editing my 1st novel, and trying to plot out a 2nd so I'll be posting about that too! Hope to be back soon for more. In the mean time... Happy Reading! |
