SAY IT LOUDER:
- Really insightful
- I've become a nonfiction reader (especially audiobooks) this year
- Tiffany has a fascinating background in news & politics
- And she doesn't hold back
- Learn more about how Black voters shape our democracy
- Released this summer so very timely and relevant
- Will be revisiting this for a deeper understanding...
Cult of Pedagogy Podcast: HOW ONE DISTRICT LEARNED TO TALK ABOUT RACE
- After last week's ED NC article that discussed Courageous Conversations, I wanted to dig in deeper
- Specifically around Glenn Singleton's work & book
- The Courageous Conversation platform has been hosting weekly dialogues around race - you can sign up for free
- What I loved about this podcast was the work was grounded in a very real education setting
- The big take away for me was that we need to have these conversations in order to be EFFECTIVE not to be RIGHT
- (that's not easy for me... I like to be right. It's something I'm working on)
- These two
- I'll watch anything and everything they do - separately, but especially together
- I'm not remotely tired of hearing about STAMPED: the Remix
- or How to be an Antiracist (which is mostly a memoir, if you haven't read it yet)
- The best part is when Ibram drinks from his water jug - seriously, just watch and enjoy.
