Haven't I mentioned before how much I hate hearing "that's below your reading level" ?! Proof that 'reading levels' don't matter when it comes to appreciating a good story.
This year, I focused on using books to help me learn to be a better writer (Story Genius & The Artist's Way helped the most) and to be antiracist (Cultivating Genius & Born a Crime). I found joy in following up with authors I've enjoyed in the past (Class Act, Three Keys, Majesty, I Am Every Good Thing) and discovering new authors to whom I plan to be a dedicated fan girl (Legendborn; Today, Tonight, Tomorrow).
What books did you read that helped you learn? Grow? Escape? Connect?
